Amazon Sells Big Landlords On Package Hubs For Apartment-Dwellers

Online retail is very attractive to apartment-dwelling urbanites who may not have a car and whose nearby stores probably charge higher prices than the malls out in the suburbs. But this customer base has always posed a problem for Amazon and its ilk: Where do you leave the packages?

Those locker are great. You can return packages to Amazon at the locker too. Easier than going to USPS or the shipping stores.

These lockers are actually very practical. UPS or worse the mailman does not leave parcels out in the rain or to be stolen. UPS has even followed suite and has their own that you can both ship and receive from. No dealing with clerks or standing in line. I'd buy stock in the locker manufacturer. Now if they were like old school Automats and had sandwiches and slices of pie they would be even cooler. Maybe they can hook up with GrubHub and it will happen.
