Wow!
MD making taxes!

Looks like a NFL players party bill

Did they leave a tip?

Any questions as to WHY this event generates revenue?????

Most...scratch that...the majority of us would never have a bill (even removing 1 zero) like this for dinner - however we are very thankful when those who can do come and visit. I can only imagine next year when the table games section of the casino is finished - the rush of revenue flowing. Regardless of established "class" - when the wallets open for enjoyment - we all are enjoying it!

No food? Wonder what they tipped.

wish I was the one to get that tip. and 3200 just in taxes

Anonymous said...

Wow! Hope the waitress/waiter was tipped appropriately!

$4.50 for a Budweiser !! LOL !

2:50- $It was 1696 in total taxes. $6.50 for a rail vodka! If I have a drink out, it is usually just a beer. I had a Heineken at the Hancock building in Chicago over 10 years ago, they charged $9. I wonder how many there were in the party. Looks like they were there for 7 hours.

That boat, "Goin In Deep", has won the "Teasers Cup" [Highest bar tab over the duration of the 5 day White Marlin tournament] for the past few years in a row. Buddy's gotta love it when this captain puts her in park!

a bottle of veuve runs around $2500 a bottle of the best Moet around $1400. The real crime here is the prices. and seriously celebrating what? being in the tourny? I could see it if you won!

Thanks for the wonderful people who have this much money to pi$$ away for a pre tourney party! May God bless them all and keep them safe out there during the tourney. We all look forward to the AFTER tourney parties as well! I hope you all win something, even if it's just a great time and good friendships! May the best crew win, and PLEASE follow the rules, LOL!

What fun's fishing for the big ones if you don't have yesterday's buzz on?

Steve said...

21G's, 35 g's to entr, then guess if you may catch a fish! I wish I were there in life, lol! Great fun wished to all of them! WE LOVE ALL OF YOU!

Hell yeah! Way to bring money into the local economy, boost tourism and promote conservation all in one!

It is a business write off for the boat owner. Most of you have no idea what is costs ot outfit a boat for a tournament; food, drinks, rods/reels, lures/bait, fuel, crew expense, moving to boat to MD for the event. You are so amazed that peopel spend this kind of money, but come on here daily complaining about how bad the economy is. Obviously, it is not so bad west of the Bay Bridge. The business owner made bank, the servers got a bonus. There are yachts next to my house that the fuel bill is $40K.

They aren't normal size bottles. 🙄

That's exactly what I was thinking

The White Marlin is a richie bitches playground. 7 or 8 millionaires on a boat fishing for a million dollar payout. It's a joke. Last year, I believe the "winners" were caught cheating on like 3 different levels.

Many participants in the WMO are indeed wealthy. I am sure some may be "rich bitches" as you refer to them. Not all wealthy people are rich bitches. Also,I know for a fact NOT everyone is wealthy.

I say if you're able to enjoy your life the way you want, go for it. I'm guessing with a 20K bar bill of the finest libations, there were a lot of happy people.

What is Tito's? And why two way different prices?

Anonymous said...

Tito's is Vodka. The Tito's line item on the bottom with the different price says add Red Bull. That's the price difference.

Lance seem a little bitter that there are "haves" and "have nots". We are a "have not", But my husband banded together with a bunch of guys and fished it. A thrill of a lifetime. I, for one, am glad that the " haves" come to town and add to MD economy spending their money. It's their money, Lance. Lighten up. And there will always be swindlers...being rich is not necessarily a criterion.

Go big or go home!

Many, if not most, of the contestants are one percenters who spend more money on fun and gambling (that's what the White Marlin Tournament is) than the other 99% earn in a lifetime. Chump change to them, a $20K bar tab. The tournament gives them a chance to win millions for their week long fishing vacation. The rest of us have to buy lottery tickets for a chance for a return like that. Guess what? We have the same odds of winning, as they do.

Anonymous said...

FYI, lots of normal people participate and win in this tournament. A firefighter and police officer have won over 2.8 million in the past couple of years.

"normal people" Interesting choice of words.

Same odds? 1 in 100 boats vs 1 in several million to win the lottery..yoir math is quite off

You sound like a bitter, pompous tool bag. And who do you think you are making a comment such as this that was designed to make anyone reading it other than yourself feel as though they are stupid? Rude!

Is the Captain single? :)

Must've been an awesome tip for some servers.

Anonymous said...

Tip was $2600.00

This isn't a big deal, these are the big boys. Workedon a boat in many tournaments with this group up and down the east coast, and Carribean.
The side bets will be 100's of Thousands of dollars. Once saw a bet in the early 80's that was $175,000 for a day.
Like I said these are the BIG BOY'S

Anonymous said...

15 liter bottle is huge

Anonymous said...

Should have been over $4100 at 20% of bill

Mike said...

Tip was 6000 they gave

Anonymous said...

The tip is fine. No need to give $600 in tip to walk a bottle from the bar to the table and pour a few glasses. And before you assume...I used to wait tables and tend bar.

Anonymous said...

Bunch of drunks. Glad they are only here one week.

Anonymous said...

Wtf are you talking about?

Margot said...

People in new York or Orange County must be howling at these comments! There is a certain part of the population that can spend this kind of money without batting an eyelash.. wish I was one!

Anonymous said...

The tip was actually 6200 dollars.

Your chances improve if you buy 30k in lottery tickets.
