Harold Brimer Jr. • Obituary

Harold William Brimer, Jr better known as “Bunk”, 91, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at The Lake. Born in Greenbackville, VA, he was the son of the late Harold William Brimer, Sr. and Lucille Jones Brimer.

He was a member of Union United Methodist Church. He also was involved for over 50 years with the AM & FM Masonic Lodge 91, Scottish Rite, Eastern Shore Shrine Club. He also was a US Army WWII veteran with the 3rd Army 14th field hospital in France and Germany. He worked for the Chrysler dealership in Salisbury before help starting the former Horner Honda. After this, he helped run his fathers & uncles' seafood business known as Brimer & Jones Seafood. He enjoyed wood-working and fishing, and especially their summer home in Ocean City. He made many trips (at least 45 years) carrying crippled children to the Shriner’s Hospitals in Philadelphia, and Boston.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Geraldine; a son, Jeffrey Wayne Brimer & his wife, Melanie of Ellicott City, MD; 5 grandchildren, Dan, Heather, Ashley, Marcie, & Adam; a sister, Erma Ward of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Brimer.

A masonic and funeral service will be on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Union United Methodist Church in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will be on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00 am at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Officiating will be Rev. John Stark and Rev. Paul Holland.
