Just heard on the police scanner that there was a shooting on Middle Neck Drive at about 1:00am. City police and EMS responding - let's see how Jake twists this one.

Drove by there at about 1:30am and saw about a dozen police vehicles and some SFD vehicles at the intersection of Middle Neck Dr and Spring Garden Ave - definitely in the City.

It was indeed a homicide.
I lived on that block for 20 years. I moved out because we got tired of hearing gunshots at night. We had a PO box because people stole your mail. Had to put up a fence to keep people from walking through the yard at all hours. The would tear down the fence on one of the corner lots so that they could cut through the lot.
Warm weather + full moon spells disaster for emergency rooms everywhere. Used to work at Shock Trauma and there is a definition correlation. It stirs them into a frenzy, like a tribal war dance.

Full moon indeed- it has a definite effect on behavior- read the book Full Moon Madness.
A shooting in the "bury" OH! my how could it happen--add to the list of real statistics.
