Goucher Poll: Hogan Approval Rating 63%, Down From September

A new Goucher College Poll is out this morning, and it finds 63-percent of voters surveyed either approve or strongly approve of the job Republican Larry Hogan is doing as Maryland Governor.

Poll director Mileah Kromer says the 63-percent approval rating is the same as it was in poll in February of last year, but it is down from the 70-percent Hogan received in the Goucher Poll conducted in September.

Seventeen-percent of those polled disapproved of the job Hogan was doing and 20-percent did not know.

Breaking down the numbers by party, Hogan has a 52-percent approval rating among Democrats, a 91-percent approval rating among Republicans, and a 61-percent approval rating among independents.

Sixty-two percent say Maryland is heading in the right direction, 22 percent say Maryland is going down the wrong track, and 16 percent don’t know.
