I was on it 3 years ago with my son. In 9 months, I had accrued a whopping $800 balance because we had limited ourselves to burger and chicken. Way too much money handed out for a healthy survival. I wanted to give the extra back, but there' no way to do that.
I'm 66 with less then 1300 bucks a month and I get 16 dollars a month. I am thankful for that. (map)

Waaaay toooo much! Especially when they can buy steak, crabs, and lobster. There should be a cap to prevent breeding for the benefits!

Dont be grateful be mad if you ve worked most of your life, youve earned it. This is how the backwards system works. Many people work for years and something happens, a spouse dies or their health fails and after years of putting into the system they r given crumbs while illegals and lazy sobs suck up everything w/ no contribution.
i work a full time job 40+ hours a week and still struggle, i don't qualify for food stamps for any kind of help because i make to much. well excuse me for not going out in the world and having 6,7,8 kids to apply for welfare and assistance. its a shame actual hard working americans can't get buy but people that don't want work and keep reproducing are handed things without question.
