So a person is arrested for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for a court appearance and then released again on personal recognizance? This must make the police officers not want to do their job when the court isn't going to do their jobs.

5:27 Bingo! The game of Catch and Release. Makes a mockery of the system. And since no bail is at risk there is no incentive for the defendant to appear later. Bet the bail bondsman would ensure they make it to court.

And Violation of Protective Order gets released the same way? Have we learned anything from hammer death in P.A. or wounded deputy in Queen Anne's? Know these orders are sometimes issued when they shouldn't be, but once ordered are to be obeyed.

Sad, and stupid.

These people have no assets to put up for bail. Courts do not accept EBT cards...yet.
