Is that where OCPD Chief DiPino is?

This is nothing against him or any other career Maryland or county employee: why can't the state of Maryland eliminate income tax on retirement income, like Florida? We lose so many great people, many of whom move out of Maryland for tax reasons.
So, here is a guy who will get a pension from Maryland, extra income in Florida , and most likely another pension, and spend it all there.
I don't blame him, but let your represenatives how you feel.

Does anyone really care?

Cops and Firemen (so far) get an artificially short career to retire from compared to the average Joe. I'd rather honor the average Joe for actually delivering a career of service.

Smart move on his part....left 4 years ago...now make nearly 30k more here doing the exact same work on the shore..and Florida has zero income tax for all residents. So you ad an overall better way of life...much more shopping...cheap property taxes...electric...and better jobs.....a good move indeed...
