Saul Alinsky–Agent of Change or Dangerous Schemer?

The context to these comments comes from the newspaper opinion editorial posted below.

The quoted article uses guilt by association–a familiar but phony propaganda technique. If Saul Alinsky is so dangerous, why does Newt Gingrich and conservative libertarian groups like FreedomWorks use Alinsky’s literature and methods today? Wealthy white men have always discriminated against people they deemed threatening or unworthy of power in the United States.

Saul Alinsky used techniques and principles which changed the face of society. As a Jewish-American, he was a community organizer and worked in poverty-stricken neighborhoods and ghettoes to improve the plight of poor folks just as Jesus walked among and associated with the poor in his day. Alinsky sought to bring attention and opportunities to poor minorities of color that were available to mostly white society. Both Jesus and Alinsky were demonized through antisemitism and hated by the religious extremists of their day.

Adlai Stevenson, a respected statesman, said of Alinsky, he “most faithfully reflects our ideals of brotherhood, tolerance, charity and dignity of the individual.” Alinsky was given the Pacem in Terris and Freedom Award by the Davenport Diocese in 1969 to commemorate an encyclical by Pope John XXIII.

Today, President Obama and Hillary Clinton are considered suspect because they both admired Alinsky and used his principles. Both Democrats and Republicans use Alinsky’s teachings because they work. He was potentially the greatest agent of change in the past 50 years in the United States. It is time to stop censuring Alinsky and start recognizing him for the good he accomplished for our country.

Recall that Hillary did her college thesis on his writings and Obama writes about him in his books.

Saul Alinsky died about 43 years ago, but his writings influenced those in political control of our nation today. Died: June 12, 1972, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA; Education: University of Chicago; Spouse: Irene Alinsky; Books: Rules for Radicals, Reveille for Radicals.

Anyone out there think that this stuff isn’t happening today in the U.S.? All eight rules are currently in play. How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:

There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.
Healthcare—Control healthcare and you control the people.
Poverty—Increase the poverty level as high as possible; poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
Debt—Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
Gun Control—Remove the ability to defend themselves from the government. That way you are able to create a police state.
Welfare—Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
Education—Take control of what people read and listen to—take control of what children learn in school
Religion—Remove the belief in God from the government and schools.
Class Warfare—Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent, and it will be easier to take (tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Does any of this sound like what is happening to the United States?

Every one of those pillars is being enacted in today's society and this is precisely why everyone must be educated about what is going on and to make them self-sufficient in order to fight against the continued development of a police state.

I only hope that it is not too late.

Hillary 's masters thesis was on Saul Alinsky. She is a study of his marketing Marxist ideals.
She, like him, is an enemy of American values and ideals.
