BREAKING NEWS: LAURA MITCHELL WILL QUIT THE SALISBURY CITY COUNCIL

Bottom line, her husband FINALLY got off the public dole and actually got a job. Laura will move to another state/town with her husband. Shhhh, no one is supposed to know but MANY will rejoice. Don't let the door hit you on your way out, both of you. Frankly, they both make me sick to my stomach.

10:21, Her replacement must be from her District. I believe Kay is in Ireton's District.

That is great news for Salisbury and Maryland!

Is it far away???? Hopefully!

Unfortunately the big problem isn't her; it's those who keep electing her and her type that make Salisbury such a dreadful place to live.

Laura Welfare Mitchell needs to be investigated.

I didn't care much for her political position, but she was a good representative for the residents of the city. She personally assisted me and people that I know with a few matters, regardless of their district. I do worry that we will be losing an advocate for our community's opioid problem.

Best of luck, Laura. Salisbury is better because you cared.

Thats a start, but I want to know when some of the people at the top are going to hit the road or be helped along down the road

Good riddance but that district was created just for her. What they gonna replace her with? Another Shanie?

This needs a pin at the top for all the working folk to come home to. Happy Hour will be a long one tonight!

Just going to go somewhere new and run up another slew of unpaid bills. The credit agencies should warn the new town/state what is coming their way.

wow guess whoever is hiring her husband didn't do much of a background check. Hope the got great insurance! one policy for her drugs and one for his lawsuit.

While she was helping you and your neighbors her son is out dealing opiods. I hope she takes him with her.

Too bad Jim Ireton isn't moving with them.

Didn't her son get a slap on the wrist for dealing opioids? Is she taking him with her?

I am delighted best news in a long time. I hope it is ASAP feel sorry for the county she is moving to ut glad to see both of them leave, can't believe she ever got elected, replacing her I hope with someone with morals, and not just wanting her 15 minutes of attention. Don't let the door smack you on the way out of town.

Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

Before she goes, is she going to apologize to the people she ruthlessly and falsely maligned repeatedly in an effort to advance her own interests?
