FRIENDS OF WICOMICO PUBLIC LIBRARIES TO HOST SPRING BOOK SALE

The Friends of Wicomico Public Libraries will host their Spring Book Sale on Friday, April 22nd,

10:00 am – 4:30 pm, Saturday, April 23rd, 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday, April 24th 1:00 – 4:30 pm at the Downtown Library. There will also be a special preview sale for current Friends members only on Thursday, April 21st, 5-7 pm.

Art books, children’s books, cook books, classic and current fiction, music and movies will be available for sale. Most materials found at the book sale are under $2 with items as low as 10 cents. The Bag o’ Books sale begins at 2 PM on Saturday and continues all day Sunday. Shoppers may fill a Friends bag full of books for only $15.

Upon presentation of their membership card, active 2016 Friends members receive a 50% off discount on all Book Sale items except for the Bag o’ Books. All proceeds for the book sale go to the Friends of the Libraries to support their efforts to promote the Library’s mission of supporting learning, enriching lives and building community.

The Friends of Wicomico Public Libraries provide vital support for the Library by presenting programming that reflects our diverse community, raising awareness of the Library as a public education provider and advocating for a modern, community focused library space.

Being a Friend shows commitment to the Library; its resources, services and its educational opportunities. Friends’ membership demonstrates to community leaders that the Library is vital to our community and that it has a continuing base of support.

Wicomico Public Libraries are located in Downtown Salisbury, the Centre at Salisbury, in Pittsville, and the Library Bookmobile. Wicomico Public Libraries offer numerous resources such as free Internet access, a variety of classes and events, and an online eBooks library, and it engages the community through education, economic development and through various community events.
