Maryland Casinos Generate $95.17 Million in Revenue During December

Maryland Lottery and Gaming today announced December 2015 revenue numbers for the state’s five casinos – Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City, Casino at Ocean Downs in Worcester County, Maryland Live Casino in Anne Arundel County, and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County. December 2015’s combined statewide revenue totaled $95,177,696. 

Hollywood Casino Perryville generated $6,339,824 from both slot machines and table games in December. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day was: $203.88 for slot machines, $2,336.96 for banking table games and $314.38 for non-banking table games. Hollywood Casino’s December 2015 revenue increased by $303,326, or 5%, from December 2014. Hollywood Casino Perryville operates 850 slot machines and 22 (12 banking and 10 non-banking) table games. 

Horseshoe Casino Baltimore generated $27,263,600 from both slot machines and table games in December. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day was: $205.68 for slot machines, $2,595.60 for banking table games and $1,156.25 for non-banking table games. Horseshoe Casino’s December 2015 revenue increased by $4,353,903, or 19%, from December 2014. Horseshoe Casino Baltimore operates 2,202 slot machines and 178 (153 banking and 25 non-banking) table games. 

Maryland Live Casino generated $54,184,065 from both slot machines and table games in December. Gross gaming revenue per unit per day was: $278.03 for slot machines, $3,712.90 for banking table games and $1,242.57 for non-banking table games. Maryland Live’s December 2015 revenue increased by $3,949,517, or 7.9%, from December 2014. Maryland Live Casino operates 3,994 slot machines and 206 (154 banking and 52 non-banking) table games. 

Casino at Ocean Downs generated $3,879,361 from slot machines in December, and its gross gaming revenue per unit per day was $156.14. Casino at Ocean Downs’ December 2015 revenue increased by $506,451, or 15%, from December 2014. The Casino at Ocean Downs operates 800 slot machines, and does not have table games.
