All kidding aside,the water of which they speak is equally as salty as the Great Salt Lake in Utah.If colonists arrive without the means to remove that salt adequately another supply unmanned endeavor will be required to get them the necessary equipment to do so.What we have witnessed in the past week is a full scale pitch by NASA to aquire federal funding for this foolishness.From any Mars mission, average citizens will gain absolutely NOTHING,unless oohs and aahs count.
We already have living and buildings on Mars. Your way behind the times.
True 12:32,there are already colonists living there and buildings as well,but if NASA divulged that information they could kiss future funding bye bye.

NASA has the proof and they are withholding it from the world. Just as they, and the military, are forcing astronauts, scientists, engineers and others, through non-disclosure agreements, to deny or keep secret.
This all goes back to the end of WWII, NASA's genesis and Truman's top-secret executive order declaring ANY knowledge, information or evidence classified.
As Ben Rich said before he died, "We have the technology to take ET home" & "There exists technology, beneficial to humanity, that will take an act of God to have revealed."
As with everything else, your government has lied to you and you've gobbled up their slop.
