The Civil War was NOT over slavery every American should know that.

Anonymous said...

Of course it was, to deny that is utter ignorance. The South economy was built on a foundation of slavery.

Anonymous said...

Every American should know that 4:10. But the ignorance of alot of people is prevailent. No one to blame but our Masters degree holders wbo are over worked and underpaid. Regardless of curriculum, they should speak the truth about history. Tell the kids like it really is and or was!

Licoln turned it into a war over slavery to justify Federal agression against states rights. He was a master politician. Look it up if you dare. Both sides had slaves, there were more in the south to support the economy based on agriculture.

the reason why people are so ignorant to the civil war is like that of other things...

It all has to do with money... They don't want to remake and rewrite the history books or lessons because of money...

What is funny about that statement is now they have created common-core which makes you dumb and to know just enough to work certain jobs but still be a slave... They treat common-core as and industry to make money off of, so that right there tells you it is no good...

They are also wanting common-core because they can make new books and papers and curriculum to follow so they and the publishers can make more money... Which is why in college, every so often they change a chapter in the book and place it at the front instead of the middle or back just to make you have to buy another book... I went though this myself so I know this exists...

All, you have to do is watch bill gates explain common-core on ted talk and you will see the evil in it... The same thing with his vaccines and this CO2 bull shit... and you stupid people don't get that every god damn ting in this universe has carbon in it or is made up of carbon... so how the fuck can you get rid of carbon???? The plants need CO2 to photosynthesize to make food and O2 but you obtuse clowns don't know or remember shit from school...

Again if you watch bill gates on C02 reduction and their formula, you can see the evil in that too... you can see, that they want to reduce the population to get rid of C02... We are dealing with some sick pieces of shit people and you need to start tom understand that...

it is about a total of 500 to 600 people who is ruining this country and you all are letting them do it... but again you are to obtuse to know who these 500 to 600 people are... well I will give you a hint as to some of them... One is the president, another is the supreme court justices and you can guess the others...

In the end always remember, you have to take rights from one person to let another use or have their rights... sooner you figure this out, the sooner you can shut the fuck up...

SLAVERY? ?? The first slaves in this country weren't black. Long before the blacks were sold by blacks it was the Irish and English. The civil war wasn't completely about slavery. The north was taxing the hell out of the south and paying less for cotton / tobacco etc. It always was an always will be about MONEY!!!

One side of my family (the English) came to this country in 1680 and joined their English brothers and sisters in the early building of this land in the newly formed Carolina Colony. The other side (the Irish) came to this country in the 1810s as indentured servants (slaves for a generation or more, looked down upon and treated miserably) and joined their Irish brothers and sisters in the building of this land.

Obtuse is a pretty big word you use often

My point is so what? Why continue to bring a black/white issue up from almost 200 years ago? I don't hear a bunch MSM discussing the reason we were involved in WWI and WWII. This crap must stop. The Civil War is history, and these issues should never be removed from our history. Keep stirring the pot is Obama's goal in order to declare Martial Law.

Bs. Not happening.

"What next? Free them, and make them politically and socially our equals? My own feelings will not admit of this; and if mine would, we well know that those of the great mass of white people will not."

4:15 - keep drinking the liberal kool-aid.....You voted for him twice didn't you? You'll probably vote for the HildaBeast cuz she's a female too! Go back and read the history books (quickly - before your liberal buddies rewrite them) an you'll see things like secession, state's rights, and other politics.

537, yep, ain't history a b@#$%? LMAO, so, the best way to solve the state rights issue was war?? 600,000 of our best- Dead, thanks Abe, and now Obama is arming our muslim enemies and importing them here.

5:37, THANK YOU! for that extremely informative link! Well done. That was Lincoln just before the war started, and very telling of the attitudes of the times.

Bottom line, Yes, slavery was a contested subject during the times, but if one reads the Confederate Constitution which DID start the war, one will realize that it was all about Northern oppression of the South, and M-O-N-E-Y. Taxation to maintain waterways was a much larger issue than slavery.

Thanks for the real history lesson.

Common Core Curriculum is making everyone stupid. The earlier settlers such as the English or the Irish, were not bitten and chained off like animals. Their women weren't bitten and raped. There children weren't sold off to another slave owner never being seen again by their mom and dad again. Their custom, religion and language wasn 't taken from them. Their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness wasn't taken from them. Their will to be free was never taken from them. Everything a slave owner could do to a beast was done to a race of proud people. These people were wiped, chained, burned, drowned, hanged, tarred and buried in graves w/o a care in the world or a blessing. Slaves were treated worst then animals. There is a big difference between being a slave like most Africans and Black American born into slavery verses English/Irish servitude. History teacher that. Common Core history do not. And here we are in 2015. Has things really change for the descendants of Africa. Lots have changed for the English and Irish descendants for the better.

Abolishment of slavery created millions of unemployed, homeless, penniless, and angry squatters.

It differs a bit. Another difference is that it directly acknowledges God. Just how well and succesful it woyld have been and where theyd be today is interesting.

Just goes to show you don't know WTF your talking about. If you were Irish not french you would know your history. Must have read that from one of your kids new history book. The new one's that make up their own history that benefit the libitards.

Of course. Slavery was an ongoing issue. Lincoln was probably one of the most honorable men that has ever served as President of our country and he indicated in his second inaugural address that the war was initiated and fought because of slavery. I choose to believe him.

8:13 and is still strives to this day!

Anonymous said...

Most of you people don't have a cue or you are just writing to see yourself write. There is no reason to discuss with you because you care nothing for the truth.

Anonymous said...

The truth is not manufactured. If it was,the Civil War would still be in progress today.

Anonymous said...

Look at blacks and whites today you could give every person in America 1 Million Dollars and tomorrow some would destroy every item bought.Race has nothing to do with that mentality.War is only war,but take care of what GOD gives us.People wake up the media are just stirring old soup. What happened in the ole time is OVER.

Look at some of the Declaration of Secessions. A majority of them had slavery as the main cause of secession. South Carolina's specifically mentioned slavery as the cause. Of course it was about slavery.

Anonymous said...

No, it was not.

About 1.5% of citizens owned any slaves at all, and the vast majority owned one or two at most. They were typically treated like valued servants, and were often close to the family. That's why many received manumission, which is to say freedom upon the death of the "owner".

Maybe partly, later on after it was in full swing. It started over money, of course. The north wanted the south's money because they were doing better commercially. The south didn't want to give it to them so the north decided to take it by force.

Lincoln was doing poorly in the war and thought if he freed the slaves they would be so grateful they would join union forces and help him win the war. Some did join union forces but some joined the south's army as well.

As always, it's all about the money. The north didn't really care about freeing slaves. They wanted to free the Benjamins.

Anonymous said...

Ma'am/Sir I would urge you to consider your comment. Lincoln also wrote in a letter to Horace Greeley that he would not free one slave if he thought it would save the union. The issue was that the northern politicians of the time turned the south into the boogeyman. They blamed the south for the results of the mismanagement of businesses by norther factory owners. They then taxed the south until they were on the verge of collapse leaving the south with.no option but to secede. Look at he small details. In the months before the civil war the southern states were paying the majority of the taxes even though the north had the majority of the nations manufacturing.

Slavery was one of many catalysts that led to the war. However, the dirt-farmers, cowboys, and native Americans that fought for the Confederacy were not slave-holders. They were drafted or were protecting their homes from Northern/federal aggression. And the Union army consisted of conscripted immigrants and wage-slaves who mostly didn't care about slavery in the South. Slavery was simply one of many issues that motivated the Southern states to legally secede. A rapacious federal government thought otherwise.
