The retailer announced Friday it will start removing gender-based labeling in several departments — including toys, bedding and entertainment — around the store. The company says the decision comes after feedback and suggestions from customers.
“As guests have pointed out, in some departments like toys, home or entertainment, suggesting products by gender is unnecessary,” reads a statement from Target. “We heard you, and we agree. Right now, our teams are working across the store to identify areas where we can phase out gender-based signage to help strike a better balance.”

Wow some of you really miss the point. Why should a girl only play with dolls and not a race car. Is it bad that a little boy likes a female character in their favorite Disney movie? The days of blue for boys and pink for girls is over. I know that some of you want to continuously live like it's the 1950's but times change and so do people.
There is a move to do away with "Ladies Night" at the bars no too.

Maybe we can get an all female Marine Corps, or let women fight men in MMA, since, in the view of the minority, there's no difference in boys and girls, or men and women, except the differences society labels them with....

As far as needing a label "to tell which gender you are", Normal people aren't looking for one (and certainly don't NEED one), but there are a few people who seem to crave one. You know what I'm saying??
