Atheism Vs. Theism

When an atheist called Dr. Ben Carson a “moron” for believing in God, he responded with one brilliant line that put the atheist in his place.
“I believe that I came from God, and you believe that you came from a monkey,” he told the individual, “and you have convinced me that you are right.”

I've always said, Ben Carson is one very intelligent man.

Wow. Really. Very enlightening coming from a Salisbury resident.

Pretty stupid coming from a doctor.

*Sigh*

Ben Carson is an intelligent man, it pains me to hear him say something so stupid.

Being Atheist means you don't accept the claims of the existence of any deities. That's it. It makes no positive claims of beliefs. So to assume that this person believes he came from monkeys because he is an atheist in incorrect, and a mistake.

Even if one accepts Evolutionary theory, evolutionary theory does not say men came from monkeys, however, that moneys and men share a common ancestor.

If you believe God created everything, Evolution could have been his method he created, still leaving men and monkeys with a common ancestor.

Calling Dr Carson a Moron is not ok, but Carsons reply, while some will find whitty, exposes that Carson knows nothing about Evolution, nor about Atheists.

Dr. Carson should have stayed out of politics. Once he was admired by everybody now not so much.
