Congressman Andy Harris Supports Cures on House Floor

WASHINGTON, DC: Last night, Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) spoke on the floor in support of the “21st Century Cures Act,” which will be voted on in the House today. This bill will take bold action to accelerate the discovery, development, and delivery of promising new treatments and cures for patients, as well as maintains our nation’s standing as the biomedical innovation capital of the world.

“Is there anyone in the country who doesn’t believe that we will cure diseases like Alzheimer’s or ALS? It’s only a matter of time and the investment that we place in it,” said Dr. Harris.

Congressman Harris’ Innovation Prize Program Amendment, which will establish an Innovation Prize Program to encourage competition in the field of biomedical science, passed in the House this morning. The Innovation Prize Program (I-Prize) establishes an X-Prize type program, which will identify and fund areas of biomedical science that could lead to significant advances, through the creation of a prize competition.

The 21st Century Cures Act included several provisions written by Congressman Harris. These provisions focus on more funding for young scientists during their peak age of discovery, increasing investments in high-risk high-reward projects, and increasing efficiency and accountability at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

This is laudable.. and hopefully successful.

One of the best ways to make progress would be to open up to the vast amount of information that shows how Vitamin C, vitamins B3 and B6, and other nutrients can be very effective in managing (even curing) many diseases (many of which are actually deficiencies.)

Our bodies are amazing in the way they can correct problems if they just have the nutrients needed.

Cancer, schizophrenia, and many other difficult conditions are very responsive to Orthomolecular medicine.

Google it and see.

The biggest problem is the Pharmaceutical industry and their $tranglehold on medicine.

Look for vitamins to disappear soon.

Perhaps we've already aborted the person who would have developed the cure to the diseases...
