Now Clint and the guy who helped him are trying to raise money for a house that will help with transition of other homeless people so they can become productive members of society again.

I've heard the story and it truly is bittersweet. From what I understand, Clint wasn't a Nick Parks type of man. Didn't ask for help, and in fact, refused it. Mac Malone, who was a former classmate saw him often and continued to offer assistance but Clint refused. Finally, one day when the temps were to drop, Mr. Malone told Clint that he had to make a choice. Either come home with him to a warm, safe place, or he was going to hang out in frozen temps with Clint. Mr. Malone won that battle. Clint had never touched a drop of alcohol or done any drugs. He became homeless after a serious of events no one should have to endure. He had finally been able to begin to trust people again. They'd like to open this house to sober and drug free men who are simply down on their luck and need a helping hand to restart the lives they once knew.
