Senator Jim Mathias Experiencing Massive Frustration From The Shore

With phone lines ringing off the hook, text messages and e-mail, Senator Jim Mathias has never experiences such attention. Unfortunately it's not good attention as the entire Eastern Shore is extremely upset with the way he is failing to represent the people of the Shore.

Sources have informed us, Mathias is frustrated and it shows. Damn that Joe Albero and Salisbury News. Little do they understand, ITS NOT ME! We simply put the information out there and it is our readers who want their voices heard and they've done just that.

Just because we've become the largest news source on the Shore, don't hate us because we're so popular. Other news outlets should have learned their lesson. Between Wind Farms, Elected School Boards and bills like HB-70, Jim is feeling the wrath of many thousands of very frustrated people wanting to be heard and represented.

Stating the black community hasn't been heard from and that Wicomico County hasn't shown they truly want an elected school board, Mathias has been caught red handed with flat out lies and non truthful statements. Because your local Liberal media refuses to EXPOSE this elected official, well, how's it working for you now Jim?

It's about time the citizens actually get it. By making comments, sending text messages, e-mail messages and even calling, YOU have once again made a difference. YOU have been heard. Now the question remains, will Mathias actually listen or will he continue to ACT as if he truly represent the people while folding to special interests?

We've got our eyes on you Mathias. You either start representing the people who voted for you OR you continue to represent the  people who line your campaign pockets. One thing is for sure, if you pick the later you'll clearly never see another term in office. You've fooled the voters for the last time.

Keep up the fantastic work viewers!!!

You better believe I called him. This became a big topic of discussion yesterday in a community meeting. Everyone there wants an elected school board. I shared the article on this site and many people contacted his office. Some of us unfortunately supported Jim in the last election but no more. No more Mr. Nice Guy Jim.

it's about time Liberal Jim feels the heat

Very tried of politicians saying one thing to get elected, then doing what they want once they are elected. We, the people, are the ones that put you there Jim Mathias, and you are not voting like we, the people, want, therefore, expect phone calls, emails, text messages, etc. Represent the people and their concerns like you promised.

I hope Mcdermott runs again. He's going to smoke this guy.

His Facebook page says "Always Working For You, And Together Getting The Job Done."

Another bold face lie.

YOU KNOW, if this guy doesn't do what you want as far as representing you, why not remove him via repeal or what ever the actual term is, for getting a senator out of office for failing to do what he swore to do...

The republican citizens of other states did that to the democrat representation for enacting and helping to enact gun laws... We can do it here but for the senator failing to uphold the constitution, for lying and for not doing as we need him to do...

Just think of the message you send these people if you all were to do that...

Oh my. You're upset that your "leaders" don't lead? Your "representatives" don't represent you??
Just figuring that out, huh?
They represent people who have money that will further their life-long political career.
You want an elected school board? Call Mathias and tell him you want to donate a million to his "campaign". He'll drop an elected board right in your lap.
Keep cheering.

11:41, Unlike most other states in America, Maryland hasn't purged their voter registration list in well over a decade. WHY, because IF you attempted to do what you are suggesting, it would be impossible to garnish enough votes to get him removed.

Hopefully Governor Hogan will consider purging that list, especially since he so overwhelmingly won his election and the citizens of Maryland are truly enjoying his new leadership on both sides of the isle.

Now, you either meant what you say and we appreciate that, OR, you are a Liberal who knows right out of the gate that this is simply impossible.

I'd like to see that happen 11:41
and hope people will continue
to support each other in getting
it done.
Thanks Joe for keeping people
informed about Truth----a thing
most polititions don't know the
meaning of!

It's seems a bit suspicious that he was for an elected school board before he was against it. What I'm not clear on was he favorable toward an elected board before or after he was reelected.

lmclain is correct. Politicians are mindless followers and not leaders. This is why there is no respecting politicians. Almost all politicians are nothing more than slaves who without question do what their masters tell them to do.
I will say I didn't see McDermott fall into that category. He never sat around waiting to see who was going to be giving him orders and tell HIM what to do, what to say how to vote. He came out immediately and very publicly on many matters. One of the very few in Annapolis who wasn't dragged around by his nose by special interest. Too many are easily controlled.

What is up with this Bozo??? What people does he actually represent?

Anonymous said...

I've never actually seen anyone say why he's opposed to the elected school board.

It appears that all instructional decisions are made for the benefit of minority students. Ditto discipline policies. Maybe the huge, continuing drop in numbers of high performing learners in this county should give folks a clue about which groups are never represented.

Mathias is for whatever his biggest donors and what the democrats on the other side of the bridge want. He's not a "leader", he's a do what he's told official

What a shame this didn't happen last year because Mike M. would be so much better for us than Liberal Jim.

Joe, A few years back when this economic depression started, I had a chance to talk with a long term powerful local politician.( Now a former politician)
And we agreed that Md is worse than most other states.I asked when Annapolis was going to do something about it to help the citizens and the People. He just laughed and said "Until the voters raise Holy hell and make their(politicians) lives miserable, nothing was going to change or get done".

11:41, I'm with you.A recall needs to be done.Maybe it won't succeed, but he'll feel the heat from the fire.

Jim Mathias is for Jim Mathias, why else would he plot to litter Ocean City's ocean view with industrial wind turbines?

He should go back where he came from -- Baltimore.

Jimbo has his eye on Barbara Mikulski's seat. He is also looking at Andy Harris' seat. He is the largest fundraiser in the General Assembly so stand by.

Damn Jim Mathias. He's mad with Albero because ALL OF THE DIRT they do in Annapolis gets exposed. The OTHER LIBERAL RAGS that are SUPPOSED TO DO UNBIASED REPORTING are a sham. To start with MAthias IS NOT an Eastern Shoreman. He's from Baltimore and attended Catholic school there. He MIGRATED to Ocean City and gained a mediocre political foothold there and the OTHER out of towners have flushed him with money so he could get elected and continually do the bidding in Annapolis with his conferates he came from. What an ASS. If I were a State Senator and a first time virtual political unknown came within 750 votes of pasting me in the General, I'd go home and put a gun in my mouth. 'Next time Jimmie' You'll get what coming to you. Bob Aswell

"Stating the black community hasn't been heard from and that Wicomico County hasn't shown they truly want an elected school board"

Two things, and I am not for an elected school board for various reasons.

1) The black community has had plenty of time to be heard from. The idea of an elected school board has been floating around for over 5 years. Mary Ashanti who represents her peeples has been involved with this from the beginning and so has Sheeri Sample Hughes. Jim, you have been a part of this from the beginning as well.

2) The people of Wicomico County has had plenty of time. See above^^^.

and
3) What are you afraid of? It's just a referendum with an up or down vote. If you don't want it vote NO!!

You are absolutely correct. In Wicomico County we lost one of two Magnet Centers at Pemberton Elementary School. This was shut down so that we can do away with the Magnet Program in it's entirety. They want to make it inconvenient for parents to drive their kids to North Salisbury School if they live on the West side. If the Magnet students choose to ride the bus they have to ride the bus with high school students and get shuffled all over the county before they finally make it to North Salisbury School. Another deterrent for parents who can't drive their kids directly to North Salisbury School.

Another thing they did was make Pemberton Elementary School an all Title I school. Need I say more!!

I understand Jimbo is going to kill the elected school board bill
Thanks Jimbo

Bob Aswell - What the hell does Mathias going to Catholic schools have to do with this issue? So have a lot of good Republicans who live on the Shore.

Liberal Jim burned through $550,000 of his own donations and another $300,000 worth from Mike Miller and the Senate Democratic Caucus just to hang on by his toe nails.

The uninformed voters were purchased by the lies he spun about McDermott. No reader of this blog could ever find themselves in the camp of the uninformed.

Someone stated it plainly earlier in the thread...Jim is about Jim. He drained his account to keep McDermott out and is not in a position to run for anything. It will take him awhile to recover. His health is poor and he has really aged in the past few years. Not sure what he has left.

Here's the bill - http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/frmMain.aspx?pid=billpage&tab=subject3&id=sb0730&stab=01&ys=2015RS

Notice that Mathias is not a sponsor!

Just once I wish that all who voted for Mathias would not comment at all. There is no amount of blather that can compensate for that one senseless act.

Elected school board and teachers right to strike. I agree! Let's allownteachers to negotiate contracts. Have the right to strike and have a school board comprised of former teachers.

e need to organize under one of our political leaders and picket Jim Mathias in Annapolis and in front of his home. A small group of 15 people-3 car loads-at a time Many of us would be willing to take our turn.
