False Report of Shooting

21000 Block of Nanticoke Road, Bivalve, MD 21814
NARRATIVE:
On July 21, 2014 at 1340 hours the Wicomico Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call indicating there had been a shooting at the above listed address. Deputies assisted by Troopers from the Maryland State Police responded and learned Cory Long was reporting he had been shot in the right side of his chest by someone leaving his residence.
WBI was contacted and responded. After extensive investigation detectives were able to determine that Long had shot his self. The case will be reviewed with the Wicomico States Attorney’s Office for future possible charges.

Everything was haywire yesterday,including the various versions of this incident.It sounds like the above story is as good as anything to go with and further investigation is a waste of time.
That type of thinking is typical... blame some one else..
Can someone say Gun Control.. obviously he's Mentally disabled
I'm not convinced at all that a home invasions type of thing didn't happen and the "victim" (who may have accidently shot himself during some type of struggle) isn't covering for someone.
It would be in LE's best interest to accept the victim's latest version, as a home invasion in your town never sounds good.
Why would the victim cover for the Robber..That makes no sense
I live down here , this guy is a fruit cake and stays screwed up on drugs all the time.
Doesn't the website say he's on probation? I would think he will be getting the help he needs for a few years
2:38-The hospitals are full of "crime victims" who claim to have no idea who shot, stabbed, beat, etc them. It's the culture. They won't rat anyone out (choosing to exact revenge themselves instead if possible) unless there is something in it for them, like a reduced prison sentence. Then they can't shut up and tell all.
You make a strong point.. there's a culture that operates under those circumstances.. However cheddar bob said.. some one shot him.. investigation proved a self inflicted gun shoot.. No code of the streets here..
