Gubernatorial Candidates Point Fingers Over Beretta Move

The candidates for governor are weighing in on the decision by gun maker Beretta to stop making weapons in Maryland.

The company announced Tuesday that it would move its manufacturing operations, with 160 jobs, from Prince George's County, to a new facility in Tennessee, starting next year. The company says it would continues to keep administrative and marketing offices in Maryland.

Lt. Governor Anthony Brown's campaign manager, issued a news release, noting the state worked with with Beretta to stay in Maryland, but it appeared that the company" never planned on staying."

The statement from campaign manager Justin Schall adds that Hogan's objections are more troubling noting Hogan opposes provisions in the laws preventing the mentally ill from getting guns.

What a weak response from Brown. Really, really? You worked with them to stay? Are you kidding me?

Anyone with a computer and half a brain should look at the Maryland legislature's record over the last couple of years and this will easily be disputed.

Beretta stated if the gun laws passed in MD. last year that they would leave. Now the bleeding heart liberals want to blame someone else go figure.

9:46 - Anyone with a computer and half a brain is already trying to leave this state...like Beretta.

Those that continue to vote for the likes of B-U are too stupid to use a computer - the government isn't giving them away and you can't buy them with food stamps.....

10:20. I know you are right and it is extremely frustrating. I have given up on this once great state but am too old to leave. I am stuck.

What I see happening is heartbreaking.

Yes I distinctly remember Beretta issuing a press release prior to this law being voted on that said "if it passes they will be leaving"

They can point ALL the fingers they want. The facts remain the Dumbocrats are to blame because they beckon to the call of Martin O`Malley and 'Our Very Own Jim Mathias' votes the way he`s told to by the Two Mikes. A vote against Mathias is a step in the right direction, just as a vote against ANY DEMOCRAT is the same. They have the whole Country in an uproar that after they`re long gone will take a decade to rectify and uncover the crimes OweBama and his dupes of which OweMalley is one has perpatrated in this Government. When will the electorate wake up and realize what they propagate is poison to everyone except them? I`m glad I don`t have any children who will have to struggle in this life and contend with a gaggle of idiocy named the Democratic Party. Bob Aswell
