Ex-Miss Delaware Sues to Regain Pageant Title

A woman stripped of her Miss Delaware title last month for being too old is suing state pageant officials and the Miss America organization.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday, Amanda Longacre is seeking to be reinstated as Miss Delaware and to be allowed to compete in the Miss America pageant. She also is seeking $500,000 in damages for herself and $2.5 million for other contestants who she claims were recruited to compete in pageants before being told they were too old.

Officials say Miss America pageant rules require contestants to be between 17 and 24. Longacre turns 25 on Oct. 22, after this year's national pageant.

She didn't know the age restrictions when she entered? Oh the rules don't apply to me mentality.

Delaware has been having trouble with pageants. Wasn't a pageant winner from Delaware last year doing porn?
If there was one thing I could do with my life it would be working for world peace, saving butterflies or maybe porn. Oh yeah and feed children. Thank you

Yes and I found the video online and she was HOT!

Trash though, but hot!

WTH was she thinking when she flew out to California to do a film fornicating some stranger. Now she is ruined for life.

She didn't turn 25 until AFTER the pageant and she was crowned. Question is: Do the rules state that she has to be no older than 24 AFTER being crowned or just during the competition? If it doesn't specifically state that she can't turn 25 until the end of her term, she may have a case. How many have competed, won and then turned a year older than the limit while serving as the winner? Just curious! I could understand being disqualified if she turned 25 during competition but not AFTER.
