Location: Wawa, 531 East Basin Road, New Castle, DE  
Date of Occurrence: Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 5:35 p.m.
Victim: 41-year-old male from Frederica, DE
Suspect:
    White male, 20-30 years old, short brown hair, thin beard, red Ohio State sweatshirt.
    Vehicle: white SUV, possibly a Jeep Liberty, with stickers on the lower left side of the rear window.

New Castle – Troopers are asking the public for help identifying a man who stole a debit card and used it to make several unauthorized purchases.

The incident occurred at 5:35 p.m. on March 4 when the victim, a 41-year-old Frederica man, used his debit card at the ATM at the Wawa, 531 East Basin Road. Later, after realizing he no longer had his debit card, the victim discovered the card had been used to make several unauthorized purchases.

After conducting interviews and reviewing video surveillance, Troopers determined the victim accidentally left his card at the ATM and a white male suspect took the card and used it at a gas station and four other stores. A picture of the suspect and his vehicle are attached.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to contact Troop 2 at 302-834-2620 extension 579.
