The Changing Face Of The Low-Wage Worker In America

Climbing above the poverty line has become more daunting in recent years. NY Times reports [5] that the composition of the nation’s low-wage work force has been transformed by the Great Recession, shifting demographics and other factors.

This data is skewed. In 79' minimum wage was $3.35 an hour and a more correct correlation to that figure would be closer to
$5.00 an hour: When comparing data to $7.25 and $9.00 hour. Using these figures its even worse.
