Attorney: Cop Kills Teen Who Answered Door While Holding Nintendo Controller

Officer says she thought Wii controller was a firearm

A 17-year-old was killed by police knocking on his door after he opened it while holding a Nintendo controller, according to the attorney of the late teen’s family.

Christopher Roupe died inside his home in Euharlee, Ga. Friday night after being shot by an officer who was attempting to serve a probation violation warrant for his father.

The police officer told the Georgia Bureau of Investigation that Roupe pointed a gun at her when he opened the door, but the family’s attorney, Cole Law, recently told WSBTV that the teenager was actually holding a Nintendo Wii controller.

Female cop, unqualified, scared, and given a job because of gender balance and affirmative action. Probably pissed in her panties when the door opened. She will probably be a Democratic candidate in a local election in November.

They Barracks must have got a memo from ERIC HOLDER said...

As one comment says at the source article, it is a training problem.
I've brought that up here before and I do firmly believe that these trainers are the biggest problem and weakest link we have with cops murdering our citizens. I've even forwarded incident after incident to our Congressional representatives and asked for reviews. The most I've ever heard back was a phone call from some lofty placed cop informing me that there wasn't any problem.
So, you can see how your representatives, including Andy Harris, feel about cops murdering at will. For crying out loud, we can't even hold a toy in our hands w/o running the risk of being murdered by these unqualified POS cops.

Come on, post the anti-cop comments. They are what people are thinking. Ignoring them or not sharing them will not make them go away or make them invalid.

I read of this elsewhere also.

It seems to me that she is either some latter day version of Quick Draw McGraw or that her sidearm was already unholstered and in her hand when she knocked on the door.

Why?

too funny how your opinion changes for each story in order to justify a phony narrative.

Hence 350 sees this as a knock against female officers. Yet I guarantee he supported the defendant in the recent FL shooting trial as just a guy practicing his right to defend himself against a perceived gun
