Police Find Potential Bombs, Chemicals In Anne Arundel Man's Home

WASHINGTON - Anne Arundel County police have arrested a Glen Burnie, Md., man after finding suspected bombs and bomb-making materials inside his house.

A relative of 28-year-old Todd Wheeler called 911 on Jan. 1 for medical help. Officers went to the relative's Millersville home and found Wheeler with serious injuries that looked like he'd been near a chemical blast. The nature of his injuries led police to Wheeler's home on Edgerly Court.

"Numerous chemicals as well as weapons, and CDS, were found within the home. All of these materials which included acids, fuels, oxidizers, and explosive precursors have been sent to the lab for analysis," says Division Chief Keith Swindle with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
