Man Killed While Riding ATV In Millsboro

Millsboro- A 57-year-old Millsboro man has died in an ATV accident that occurred in a wooded area north of the intersection of Robinson Way and Thorogoods Road.

At 3:52 p.m. today Troopers responded to the area after workers inspecting a railroad track discovered a deceased man pinned under an ATV. A preliminary investigation indicates the decedent, Frank J. Wilkerson, was riding a 2012 Honda Ranger ATV in the area and encountered loose rocks while riding over a hill. The loose rocks gave way, and Wilkerson and the ATV tumbled down the hill. The ATV ultimately landed on top of Wilkerson.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing its investigation into this incident. The time at which this accident took place has not been determined.
