This Just In From A Viewer

Salisbury did not get the big fire boat out again for a water rescue last night at upper ferry.

Everyone was too drunk.

Wonder if it has ever been used (for work, that is.)

It was down at Seacret's getting lunch and then went to the inlet for Thrashers fries.

I understand that it was out of service at the time of the call.

Was it on the "Out of Service" list? Maybe not if it wasn't dispatched.

The Upper Ferry isn't even in the city limits or the Salisbury Fire District.

My god that thing looks majestic with water blasting out of the sides like that.Do they fish off of it?

Seriously People, Get a life and leave the Fire Department alone.

The response card does not call for the large boat. The dive unit and the small raft are what was asked for. Once again you have no idea what your talking about.

I'm surprised it still runs.

The fire department leadership told you that big boys need big toys. Your tax dollars at work.

Don't get bent out of shape. You will have things said about you all your life. If your not doing anything wrong just laugh at it.

As a tax payer I would prefer to see them give the fire boat up to a port city that really does need one.

I totally agree with 4:38. Send it to a port where it is really needed to save property and lives. We all know that's not Salisbury. Ocean City, Annapolis, Baltimore, and many others in MD could put it to good service.

There are a few that can navigate the river at night without the use of gps. There is a difference.

Was it at Brew River for Rainbow Coalition Party?

The S.S. Hoppes has been in service almost 2 years now and has yet to respond to it's first emergency.

The million dollar boat does about as much work as Rick Hoppes does. NONE! He hasn't worked a day in his life.

We see a posting of the fire dept's calls on this blog, is there a record anywhere of the calls the boat has responded to??
