A boat lift and canopy for a fire boat that has never been used? They cant use it in the Wicomico River because the trash will clog up the pumps.

More free money for the fire department. What an F*N joke.

Is anyone else getting sick of "Chief" Hoppes and his constant spending. What else are the tax payers going to have to fork out for that Million Dollar Mistake. Why didn't he get the lift and canopy when the damn boat was ordered?

I guess they discovered what happens to jet drives when they sit in the water unused for extended periods of time...you can't protect the innards of the drive from marine growth. Same with the bottom...thats some nasty slime that grows in that river. They really should have known...

Proves how stupid he is...forgot, he got an on-line certification from a non-acredited college...go figure, sounds just like Salisbury mentality.

"Gee, we really didn't know that MAINTENANCE WOULD BE REQUIRED". That sucker won't remember we all said, it ain't gonna be free, and by this time, I'd bet that sucker won't even run with the clog in the intake jets@the jet drive. The old farboat sank how many times from lack of use/ attention?

The S.S. Hoppes needs a garage now. Thanks Jim Ireton for more wasteful spending. Proves that a 3rd grade school teacher isn't qualified to run a small city. Stupid idiots.
