Under President George W. Bush, the Department of Homeland Security had $20 million allocated for preventing the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) by terrorists working inside the United States. The current White House has cut that funding down to $11 million.
That assessment comes from Robert Liscouski, a former Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15 that killed three Americans and injured at least 173 others.More

The mere fact that this budget has been reduce to only 11 million is alarming. 11 mil isn't much to work with.
There are funding priorities and Anerican safety on American soil should be number 1 and would be if we had a real presdent who was a leader instead of trash who is more concerned with making people feel unsafe so he can prove these cuts hurt.

I'm assuming you took the time to look up the department's precut budget request before becoming alarmed. I also guess you have the details for this department's spending plan, what the money is being used for, and what portion of their plan they haven't been able to accomplish with the cut to their budget.If so, please share. Obama's budget includes things like a billion for mandatory pre school so lazy usless parents have a free place to kennel their kids and other useless 'initiatives.'
