Can someone please enlighten us on the status of the acting fire chief and has Ireton submitted another name yet? What happens after the extension ends on Feb. 28? Who with then be the acting fire chief?

The council does not have to approve Hoppes as acting chief. That would fall in the mayor lap, the states attorney has already ruled on the matter.
