Anne Arundel County Police say an employee of a Glen Burnie business shot and killed someone who was trying to break into his store this morning.
Lt. John McAndrew told WBAL News the shooting took place at around 6:30 this morning at the Arundel Cards and Coins on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard.
The employee told police that a man had broken into the store. A fight broke out, and the intruder was shot. Police say the intruder ran out of the shop and collapsed in the parking lot.

Another thug bites the dust. Any more want to press their luck?
he just tried to get some change to buy his poor old mom a present for christmas
Let's make that story a new Headline News on any MSM networks, shall we? Oh, oops, I forgot, this wouldn't fit their liberal(socialist) propaganda about all guns being bad. After all, banning all of the guns would certainly stop all criminals from doing their crimes, right? The REAL REASON behind Ban On Firearms is to limit Public Freedom & Liberty so the Government Can Take Control Over Our Lives. And WE THE PEOPLE MUST NOT LET THAT EVER HAPPEN.
Something is WRONG with this story. MAN breaks in store while employee is there and gets shot and is able to RUN out the store shot ??? If the door is already open with employee in there WHY break in the store..just walk in ??? SOMETHING STINKS HERE////....
The employee should be given a raise and a metal for protecting the business!
Another example of the working man taking advantage a freeloader. Can't we all just get along!!!
626-Typically, employee(s) enter a business before it's opened to the public, to get ready for the day.
As for running out after getting shot, you've probably never been deer hunting.
Good for society at large. As a numismatist, I know the amount of money in the hobby. I'm certainly priced out of most of it, but enjoy it nonetheless.
I do not like to hear of anyone being killed. However, the police can't be everywhere all the time so we all must find a way to protect ourselves. Remember, police carry guns to protect themselves. So be it!
When seconds count the police are only minutes away.
The employee still needs to be charged. No self defense law in Maryland.I am now a felon for shooting a thug that robbed me at gun point. Judge told me no self defense law here.they gave me a plea deal and I refused it. I fought it. I lost. The district attorney finished his statement with folks I'm not saying this man wasn't defending himself,he was and witnesses have testified to that.the point is law is law and in Maryland you just can't shoot someone in defense. Davis ruark did it to me. Luckily my military record spared me prison time.
The police carry guns to protect themselves. Why shouldn't we?
I have a 9mm semi-auto next to my bed with 12 rounds in the magazine in the event that some fool tries to victimize me and my wife. I hope that it never happens but I will keep shooting until the bullets run out if it does.
Doors can be opened from the inside even when locked for those on the outside. Operate doors much?
