Was the right decision made for the NYC Marathon?

Yes. Alot of the runners cancelled as did alot of long time marathon volunteers and spectators. Transportation still not up to normal and would have created more of a nightmare with traffic. Riots and looting are occuring so any and all available LE did not need to be doing traffic control for this event when there was the potential for more lives to be lost due to violence.
As far as any money being lost (if any),the amount lost is so miniscule in the big scheme of the picture. According to alot of the borrow representatives the losing revenue wasn't even an arguement because the revenue is things like food and beverage tax and quite of few of the businesses that would have benefitted aren't even open now. Room tax revenue isn't effected due to volunteer workers paying it.

Yes I think the right choice was made. However I think he should have announced it sooner. Maybe that was his plan. Hold off to the last minute so people could not cancel their hotels and plane tickets.

I know it was going to be cancelled. I'm not going and not be able to buy a super soda.
