World Food Prices Near Crisis Levels

Prices driven higher by US drought along with production problems in Russia and other exporting countries

World food prices rose in September and are moving nearer to levels reached during the 2008 food crisis.
The United Nations food agency reported on Thursday that the worst drought in more than 50 years in the United States had sent corn and soybean prices to record highs over the summer, and, coupled with drought in Russia and other Black Sea exporting countries, raised fears of a renewed crisis.

Good! Now if we had any guts, we would double the export price unless the other countries gut oil in half.

And if Obama would put a halt on ethanol and use our crops for food, that would help keep prices down. But, that would be common sense so Obama would not understand.

How about we demand the UN stop spraying us?

How about we demand the halt to the weather modification programs?

How about we demand a stop to the promotion of GMO foods? Wake up Ameika. We are being lied to by the international corporations who control our government.

Yep....it's all coming crashing down. The other countries can't just cut oil prices because it isn't the oil going up....it's the value of the dollar going down. Can't everyone see that what we've been saying here for more than 3 years now is coming to pass? When they "print" more money, the money becomes worth less. The more they print, the less it's worth. This is the big danger in monetizing debt. the inflation lags a little behing the printing of money but it is now becoming visible. That means it won't stop! Gasoline is now more than double what it was 3.5 years ago. Food is going thru the roof. They are blaming it on the drought. That's about as accurate as 7.8% unemployment, 450 million dollar welfare fraud sting operation by the Obama administration, and Obama's debate was bad due to high altitude. WAKE THE F UP!!
