Friends, Family Question Whether Baltimore Police Chased Car
BALTIMORE -- A new mother was killed after a car that police had attempted to pull over plowed into her vehicle Monday night in west Baltimore.
The incident happened at about 11 p.m., when officers from the Southwestern District noticed a car operating in an unsafe manner. Baltimore City officers began to follow the driver and attempted to pull him over near the 1800 block of Poplar Grove.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said the officers were not chasing the suspect.
