SU MEN’S LAX STAYS UNDEFEATED, BUT BARELY

Under the lights last night at Stevenson, the top ranked Sea Gulls capped a real come-from-behind rally in the fourth quarter with a goal in the final seconds to beat the number 4 ranked Mustangs 11-10. More to follow.

A podcast of the game is on-line at SFMsports.net

That was a great game last night. Salisbury came from being down four goals in the second half to pull out the win with 11 ticks on the clock. The program is another gem in Salisbury that doesn't get enough attention from the citizens. Nine national championships and the winningest NCAA men's lacrosse coach in history isn't something too many towns and cities can say they have.

they need to move to a more competitive league. They're in the wrong one if they win all the time. Then the obnoxious hoodlums tear down telephone boxes, fences, trash yards, break beer bottles on sidewalks. They need to come down a peg or 2, imo.

7:55 That's a pretty idiotic thing to write. Like saying the Patriots and Giants shouldn't play in the NFL because they win all the time. It has something to do with coaching and recruiting. The more successful the program, the easier it is to get kids to come play for your program. Salisbury doesn't offer athletic scholarships. And you make it appear that they things happening in the neighborhoods is being done by the lacrosse players. You sound like one of those people that simply likes to bitch about everything.

SU desperately needed this game.Whether the Mustangs had a fluke game where everyone played over their heads or they actually are that good does not matter. It's just that every athlete needs to be pushed to the limit now and then. This will better prepare them for the coming games.
