Rescued Dog Bites NBC Anchor In The Face During Feel-Good Segment Gone Wrong

It was supposed to be one of those feel-good segments on a local television newscast: A rescued dog. A grateful owner. The hero firefighter who pulled the dog from the ice. But that's not how it turned out.

The dog, an Argentine mastiff named Gladiator Maximus, attacked Kyle Dyer, anchorwoman at NBC's KUSA Denver affiliate, during a live, in-studio segment on Wednesday that was meant to celebrate the dog's rescue from an icy lake the day before.

Jeez why are people so stupid
You don't want people to get in your personal space i.e. breathing literally in your face well neither does a dog. He is in a strange environment - he had turned his head twice to get away from her and she was persistant and doubly stupid and you don't stare a dog down
Just because people claim that "they are just an animal" I beg the differ - they are exactly like us with 2 additional legs - I'd have bit her too - but you know in all this who is going to suffer The Dog
Please if you had just been plucked from an icy lake would you want someone to shine light on you and get into your business
sssshhhhh dumb humans

I have to agree with 11:10. Most animal attacks are because of stupid people. Animals don't normally attack without provocation. And in the court of public opinion it's always blamed on the animal.

yep, she claims to know all about dogs, but he clearly gave all the signs "hey lady, get outta my face or i'm gonna bite".

This is truly a case of "stupid human error." She was crouched in a dominant stance - where dogs show dominance. It was like she was threatening him. He just reacted.

The dog was obviously a republican and the talk show host was a typical annoying liberal democrat. It's just that the dog had enough since to bite the crap out of her. Instead of like John Boehner letting the libs walk all over him.
