Do you trust the stock market?

Absolutely! Not all brokers & advisors, but the market itself is flawless. If all the money stolen by the government for Social Security had been invested in the stock market I'd be quite comfortable financially. I'd even have money to pass on to the next generation.

Nope. They aren't worth a dime until you cash them in.

the stock market is a joke Joe. Those in the know are buying low, waiting until 401k's and other types of long term investors are all in pushing the value up....and then dumping taking all the wealth out with them. Then when it bottoms and everything is low...they buy back in. The wealth is being systematically moved from the long term investor to those who buy sell buy sell all day long. Huge amounts of wealth are being stripped away from those investing in the stock market for retirement purposes. Oh...it's all legal. But it's still a scam. Keep your money in a coffee can....or better yet - invest it in precious metal...like brass and lead.

People on my job lost huge amounts of money in their 401K's,but I just bought gold.During each 2 week pay period starting in 1995, I spent about the same amount on gold coins as my co - workers would spend making maximum 401K payments.I stopped buying gold in January of this year, when I retired.
