Even Americans who know very little about the U.S. Constitution know this much: once a jury decides you are innocent of a crime, the government can't keep hauling you back into court to try your case over again. It's called the prohibition on double jeopardy, and it's in the Bill of Rights because the Founding Fathers thought it was an essential bulwark against tyranny. But like most truisms in American law — that the police have to read you your rights before they question you, that it takes a unanimous verdict to be convicted, or that the police need a warrant to search your house — there are exceptions large enough to drive a prison bus through.

we don need no stinkin' Bill o' Rights...we ain't doing nothing wrong. And if the police search your house without a warrant, not only is it ok, it's for our own good. USA! USA! USA! We should hold a big Flag/Constitution burning party and settle the issue. Think of how proud the government would be of all the citizens! Jefferson would be appalled and disgusted, but he's dead, so forget him.

Hahahahahaha people think Obama is king and everything he says, is..... IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO IS IN OFFICE FOR PRESIDENT. Wall Street has taken over and only our government decides what actually happens or not. This site has gone down hill ever sinse the Obama bashing. Seriously, my mail came 3 hrs late yesterday, and I knew, this would of never happened if Bush was in office. I'm done with this site.
