Where is the local news Joe?
There's plenty of local news and events. Keep in mind, I'm a one man show who does not have several crews. I'd say we do a pretty darned good job competing locally with what I have. If I was charging THOUSANDS of dollars for ads like they do, we'd cover anything and everything.
I bet WBOC does not copy/paste everything thay put out!
Thay do real news reporting.

i don't know why your bashing WBOC. they have really stepped up over the years and are great here on the shore for news. they are like a big market station in a small area unlike the college like station, WMDT. as much bashing as you'll cont. to do..they'll still remain number 1 and never go anywhere.
anonymous 5:41, I'm not necessarily bashing them. More like challenging them. With the amount of staff that they have, the ONLY local stuff they're interested in is hunting and fishing. WBOC paid a lot of money for a study to find out who their main audience is and guess what, its hunters and fisherman, that's why they do the outdoors delmarva thing. They found that it was more people working for Perdue and the chicken industry, so they changed things up quite a bit. They have the ability to actually compete with the big boys in Baltimore and Washington, yet they dont. I challenged the Daily Times for years and now they're reporting the things they never used to. So maybe with enout pressure they too will make a change. Its up to them. They have great people working there and constructive critisism is actually a good thing.
I agree with you Joe. There are days that you hardly see a LOCAL story on WBOC at all during their broadcast. I really hate it when they start out by saying "our top new story today is" and it's something from somewhere else in the country or the world. That, in my opnion is not a top news story for us LOCALS!
One more thing, since I know you're reading these posts WBOC, stop with the weather antics! Stop "prefacing" the weather, ESPECIALLY when we have severe weather coming at us! You've gotten to where you speak of it and then it's 10 minutes later before the weather actually is done. 10 minutes of additional preparedness could save someone's life!
