Two Time Sate Champion

On Saturday, Zack Eure a senior from Parkside High School won his second Wrestling State Championship!  Zack won his junior year at the 189 lb weight class and this year at the 215 lb weight class.

Not only did Zack win the state championship he also achieved two other goals.  He finished his final year of his high school career undefeated AND he also got his 100th Pin!  Very few wrestlers have ever accomplished this!

The local newspaper has not even mentioned it and neither has WBOC or WMDT.

It amazes me that a paper in Talbot County had a paragraph or two in it specifically about Zack but his own hometown news wouldn't even report it.

Winning a state championship is a big deal.  Winning 2 State Championships is a huge deal!!

I am very disappointed in the local news media for not reporting on all of the wrestlers from the area that competed in the State Tournament.

Mike Meekins from Decatur finished second in the 171 weight class for 3a/4a.  Brenan McAllister and Anthony Rivera both from Parkside each finished 6th in their weight classes.

I'm not sure how the rest of the shore did.

I for one am very proud of all the Bayside Wrestlers!  Great year!

Sandy Eure
a very proud mom

Zack. You probably already know that your family and friends are very proud of you.
What you don't know is that those who hear about it later are also proud of you and with the internet being the watchdog that it is the local news will be shamed.
Ms. Eure - you have a son to be proud of.

Didn't know about this, but I do now - CONGRATULATIONS Zack, Mike, Brenan and Anthony, and shame on you news media, these kids are our future and you can't take the time to care. Good job guys and keep those heads up high.

Did anyone mention that the Holly Grove Girls Varsity Basketball team took home the State Championship title on Saturday evening?
