Here Comes The Snow!

Significant snow is expected across the East Coast on Christmas Night through Monday. Blizzard conditions are more likely in New England and possible across New York City and the mid-Atlantic Coast.

The low pressure is now expected to become stronger farther south and track closer to the coast. This means more than 6 inches can fall from eastern North Carolina to New England.

Early Christmas morning, snow has spread across northern Mississippi, Alabama and most of Tennessee. Lighter snow is falling across most of the Ohio Valley into Virginia.

On Sunday into Monday, the storm will parallel the Northeast coast and strengthen in the process. There is growing confidence here at AccuWeather.com that the storm will be close enough to the coast to bring a heavy snowfall to most of the Eastern Seaboard.

Accumulations from the Delmarva to New England will be at least 6 inches with more than a foot possible.

This has changed our plans. Getting out of dodge today so we don't have to deal with it. Going some place where the people know how to drive in it!

Later all!

Foot's Forecast has the Lower Shore getting 8 to 16 inches of snow by Monday. The models now agree on a strong storm coming up the coast.

I hope the local governments call the crews in to plow, and even more so, I hope they answer the phones. They really screwed them with the new overtime policy.

What is the new overtime policy?

6-12 inches according to weather.com.

Gotta love those jokers at WBOC...last night they say dusting maybe a inch. weather.com and all the others will still calling for significant amounts...what a joke WBOC weather is.

I wonder what it takes to get a job at wboc doing weather...being able to point at a green screen and say "well it could be cloudy, sunny, perhaps rain...."

Pathetic...

The new overtime policy is that if you have anytime off during a pay period, whether it be a holiday (christmas) or a doctors appointment, you don't get overtime, but instead, straight time. Personally, I would rather spend the holidays with my family rather than working for an organization that obviously doesn't care about it's employees, and muchg less, have to hear the complaints of people for decisions made that are out of the worker bees control. I can easily be "out of town" if/when the phone rings.
