Del. -- Longtime Republican congressman Mike Castle has ruled out a write-in campaign in the U.S. Senate race in Delaware.
Castle is also a former two-term governor and the longest serving congressman in state history. He lost the GOP primary earlier this month in a stunning upset to tea party favorite Christine O'Donnell.
He issued a statement Wednesday night saying he had ruled out a write-in campaign, which many supporters had asked him to consider.
The decision brings an end to a political career stretching over four decades.

o'donnells only chance was a castle write in, to take away democratic votes.
so ends the o'donnell campaign also. she screwed it up for alot of people. and what would've been a chance to take the senate if the tea party had stayed away. joe millers lead in alaska was only 2 points now. rand paul is dropping in polls in kentucky..
I think he made the right decision.

This two party system is a sham. I would have liked to vote for Castle. But I guess we are always going two chices. elephant or donkey
Castle was a RINO anyway. If he won it still would be a victory for the Democrats.
