Will Washington's Failures Lead To Second American Revolution?

The Internet is a large-scale version of the "Committees of Correspondence" that led to the first American Revolution — and with Washington's failings now so obvious and awful, it may lead to another.

People are asking, "Is the government doing us more harm than good? Should we change what it does and the way it does it?"

Pruning the power of government begins with the imperial presidency.

Too many overreaching laws give the president too much discretion to make too many open-ended rules controlling too many aspects of our lives. There's no end to the harm an out-of-control president can do.

Bill Clinton lowered the culture, moral tone and strength of the nation — and left America vulnerable to attack. When it came, George W. Bush stood up for America, albeit sometimes clumsily.

Barack Obama, however, has pulled off the ultimate switcheroo: He's diminishing America from within — so far, successfully.

He may soon bankrupt us and replace our big merit-based capitalist economy with a small government-directed one of his own design.

He is undermining our constitutional traditions: The rule of law and our Anglo-Saxon concepts of private property hang in the balance. Obama may be the most "consequential" president ever.

The Wall Street Journal's steadfast Dorothy Rabinowitz wrote that Barack Obama is "an alien in the White House."

The way they're acting, you'd think they're trying to provoke a revolution so they can lock us up and go ahead with their plan.

As I've said before, if Thomas Jefferson and his friends were alive today, we would already be in the middle of another revolution. It is an historical inevitability. Taxes? They would be horrified at how the government imposes them. Congress? They would be disgusted with its imperial attitude, its unbelievable corruption, and its "lifetime" tenures. Constitutional Rights? The extent of their degradation would appall them and THAT alone would start the next revolution. To all those who label as "traitors" those who see the light and are not afraid to speak, remember --- people called Patrick Henry and John Adams traitors, too. Thank God they loved the term.

This talk is treason...also the author speaks like the Grand Wizard of the KKK.

The author speaks like Robert Byrd? Oh, sorry, he was just a Grand Kleagle.

And "treason" is a violation against the form of government - for instance, a monarchy to a democracy, or a dictatorship to a parliamentary republic. Since the author is advocating a return to the form of government we had prior to the Democrat takeover, treason is not the word you want to use.

I am waiting and praying for a revolution. Obama has sealed the fate of our government.

You used the race card early to signal your loss in the discussion.

Whenever the race card is pulled out, it just means the libtards lost the argument

Ha ha.. 'treason', huh?
You can always spot the lefty by the name-calling and race-baiting.
'Treason' is what's going on in the White House and Congress.

The headline is wrong-- these are not Washington's 'failures'-- they're doing all this intentionally-- and successfully, for the most part.
The only 'failure' is their complete disregard of the Constitution.

I support a revolution if Obama is not impeached next year .

The revolution has begun. It started on the ramp up to Obama's election and has been going since.

Americans have been arming themselves steadily and now the market is stabilizing.

What that means is the people whom will do the fighting are ready.

The sheeple that have not, will be victims.

Yes folks, it's started.

Only waiting for the first shot to get everything going.

The gevernment now holds a stake in Freddie-Mac and Fannie-Mae, they also control the banking industry, own a share of GM and Chrysler, and will soon take over the health care industry. They are putting the screws to BP in the oil spill fiasco and wholly intend to force its failure and will take it over. Then they will have their foot in the door for an energy takeover. The final piece will be the takeover of the media. They are already attacking Fox News like no administration before and plan to vilianize Fox till the point that they will then take over the Media to protect us from the truth. It is playiong out right before our eyes and we are letting it happen. Wake up people!

You guys bore me. Can't convince enough people that your political philosophy is correct? Fail to win free and fair elections? Well then, lets talk "revolution". That will really show how patriotic we are.

8:40 please pull your head from your butt ! The election was rigged ACORN proved that now he's shredding the Constitution taking over the private industry and forcing substandard health care on an unwilling people . If that's not reason enough I don't know what is !

8:40 November will answer your political philosophy question .Followed by impeachment !

Private healthcare needs an overhaul. If you hike up the taxes, then college education and medical care should be free to all Americans. Also, politicians need a reduction in their pay. Also, all private employers will need to support the union to ensure fair treatment of all employees.
