STOP THE MANDATE!

ObamaCare As noted in an earlier post, Virginia AG Ken Cuccinelli has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the citizens of Virginia to void ObamaCare.  You can help to support Cuccinelli’s efforts.

General Cuccinelli has launched a petition supporting the suit and calling for the courts to STOP THE MANDATE!  Show your support and fight this unprecedented attack on our liberty.

Also support the Club for Growth’s new ObamaCare page – RepealIt.org  Join thousands of Americans and leaders such as Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), and Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) is supporting the repeal.

We also recommend that you read Jim Hoeft’s excellent post on Cuccinelli and the lawsuit.

Political grandstanding at it's best. How about this? If you don't want a coverage mandate, give up your right to receive treatment regardless of the ability to pay.

The looney left speaks again

The same morons complaining about tort reform supporting frivolous lawsuits wasting taxpayer money....pricelees.

10:16 sure makes a lot of sense; if you aren't going to pay for my lazy, stupid self then I won't let you pay for yourself. Absolutely brilliant.

10:46, again one of the victims of the old "welfare queens in cadillacs" line. Wake up son, approx. 10% unemployment with higher underemployment. Do you think that these people chose to lose a job and the coverage that comes with it?

10:16, I judge things straight from the independent center. It's a great place; you get to see all the loonies from both sides.

Cuccinelli is a nut case, try to get name recognition.

Write your Congressman and ask them to up the "mental health" coverage in ObamaCare. You NEED IT!

Anon 1034 -
Since when was an attempt to protect the liberty of our fellow citizens "frivolous"?

Your views are "center" only in your mind. That 10% unemployment will grow under ObamaCare. I only pray that you don't become ill after rationing of care, which is inevitable, becomes the norm.

G.A. get a clue. Care is already rationed. Which is why your premiums increase astronomically year to year.

No wonder we have so many problems. This blog seems to be full of people who want to have their cake and eat it to. You want the strongest military in the world that can strike down anyone who crosses us, you want a safety net for the old and disabled, and you want kids to be able to receive care, but then you complain when the bill comes. Whats worse, is you'll try to say "it's those people on foodstamps sucking up all the resources".

1122 - Are those people out of work because the new rules forbidding penalties for not paying credit cards yanked $632 billion out of the retail economy, or because cash for clunkers allowed so many to realize the dream of a Japanese car, while putting thousands in the used car market out of work, or is it because they can't get a $20/hr job that the rest of the world will do for $5/hr?

"Get a clue"? No, you should study a little economics. I will admit that care is already rationed to some degree. However, it is not rationed anywhere near the extent it is in countries already suffering under socialized medicine.

As for this being the reason your premiums rise each year, try again. Your premiums rise because insurance companies are continually forced to increase coverage for every malady under the sun. Add in the costs of defensive medicine because the tort system in this country is out of control. The reasons are myriad, but have nothing to do with the rationing of care.
