Twenty senators are demanding an investigation into reports the Obama administration threatened to close an airbase in Omaha, Nebraska if that state's Democratic senator, Ben Nelson, didn't join other party members in voting for health-care reform.
Weekly Standard columnist Michael Goldfarb was among those raising the issue in a post in which he said: "According to a Senate aide, the White House is now threatening to put Nebraska's Offutt Air Force Base on the BRAC list if Nelson doesn't fall into line" on health-care reform.
Both the White House and Nelson are denying any such threat ever existed.
The Republicans signing the letter were Sens. John Ensign of Nevada, Jim DeMint of South Carolina, John Thune of South Dakota, Jim Bunning of Kentucky, Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker of Tennessee, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Kit Bond of Missouri, George LeMieux of Florida, Pat Roberts of Kansas, David Vitter of Louisiana, Thad Cochran of Mississipi, John Cornyn of Texas, Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, Mike Johanns of Nebraska, Bob Bennett of Utah, Johnny Isakson of Georgia and Chuck Grassley of Iowa.

If you really want to get angry research the safe school czar Kevin Jennings and his group GSLEN. Research Obama's apointee to elSalvador Aponte--she is thought to be a Cuban spy. Think about Van Jones. All of the people Obama names as "Czars"are Socialist, Marxist or Communist, or in the case of Jennings SICK PERVERT.
If the guy who was supposedly threatened says it didn't happen then I don't understand why some are acting the way they are.
I'd be willing to bet it didn't happen and in that case, every one of these signing this letter should also be voted out for wasting valuable time that should be spent on straightening out this country!

I'm so done with EVERY member of Congress. I will not vote for even ONE of the incumbents in the next round of elections and I can only hope that more Americans do the same thing.

Of course Ben Nelson denied there was a threat-- he's a democrat first and foremost. Deny it publicly, and deal with it privately.

Remember, when those in government that enforce the laws are corrupt and abusing their positions, it won't be long and they will be abusing you!
