There was a fantastic turn out for the Tractor Pull Friday night. Not only were there more Tractors then expected, the spectators overwhelmed this group as well.
Now I'm not into Farming but the word on the street is Congressional Candidate Andy Harris showed up on Saturday and spent time with everyone there. I hope the Posts we provided here helped get more people out to the Show and everyone enjoyed it.

Much of our oil comes from the Arabs, and the rest makes them better off because it drives up the world market price, so how much did they make from this waste of fuel???
Last night we were in Delmar on Rt 13 and you could hear all the cars reving up their engines and racing down the race track there. Why don't you vcall them and ask them how much fuel their burning?
The tractor pull was great...I couldn't believe how many people were there...we had a blast. If those guys want to burn their fuel, that's their parogative and I met Andy Harris there and shook his hand. What a nice guy!
i think it is great to see that the county gave in and let them have the pull. The event went on for hours. As to fuel how much fuel is wasted going to the beach, band concerts ect. Tractor pulling is what these guys live for while others live for the beach.

The point of the first comment is that we waste huge amounts of petroleum -- a tractor pull has the same effect as revving and racing cars. We should put a big excise tax on it to force both conservation and efficiency.

How many of you pay top dollar to go watch cars race 400 to 600 miles in a few hours? Now there's a waste of fuel and money. Not to mention the fuel used to transport these cars in those top of the line big rigs all across country.
Want to scream about fuel consumption/waste? Scream at NASCAR. You'd have better luck shooting fish in a barrel.

lets cancel the olympics...all those extra flights just to bring people in to watch some dumb sporting event.... might save a lot of fuel...
lets cancel the elections...we don't need mccain and obama running around in those big airplanes wasting fuel just to talk to people...use a cell phone...
lets cancel sports all together...college and pro football right around the corner...think of the fuel used in the planes and busses just to get the players to and fron the games...not to mention the fans...
i could go on and on about this but i have to shut my computer down and save electricity which is made from burning fuel....have to save fuel somewhere...sorry joe....
