One Upmanship Day

If there's ever been a day for bragging, TODAY is the day!

I want to hear your stories about your family history referencing ANY War.

I have never seen a platform like this before that would allow anyone and everyone to come and read what everyone has experienced in their own words. I will create Posts out of some of them, so if you have photos you'd like to send as well , send them to, alberobutzo@wmconnect.com. Remember, I'm on dial up so don't send me HUGE files.

I look forward to hearing back from all of you and thank you.

Dad was in the army, stationed @ Ft. Meyer, Va. in the U.S. Cavalry, but never saw action in the BIG war. He was a personal aide to General George S.Patton, rode him around in a sidecar of a motorcycle. Patton signed dad's discharge papers. Dad never saw action, but was very patriotic & proud of his service. He taught us the discipline & patriotism he learned. We knew how to "police" any area & to this day hold hands over hearts for our national anthem. He dressed & trained horses for state funerals & those at Arlington. We wish he were still here to tell us more...

saponariae,
Your statment "We wish he were still here to tell us more..." is a sentiment that many hold.
