Bhutto Says Musharraf Must Leave Power
LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) - Opposition leader Benazir Bhutto on Tuesday called on President Gen. Pervez Musharraf to resign and ruled out serving under him in a future government after she was placed under house arrest for the second time in five days. GO HERE for more information.

In a country where we will invade nations to instill democracy and freedom to people who apparently were crying out for it, how come the United States is so deafeningly silent when it comes to the obvious threats to Democracy and freedom in going on right at this moment in places like Pakistan and Georgia.
All this while we approach the 20th anniversary of the Tienemen (sp?) Square massacre in China, as that goverment responded to calls for freedom with brute force, and the United States did nothing.
What type of freedom and democracy do we fight for? The type found in all countries, or just those with oil?
Seems like we may be the slightest bit inconsistent.
And hey, doesn't Pakistan have that Bin Laden guy everyone seemed so worked up about a few years back? How is that working out?

Poeple all over the world struggle, fight, get improsioned & die to be able to have half of what we take for granted here in the US. The right to vote & be represented in a democrtic society.
Yet APATHY is plaguing our society, because we take our rights for granted, AND WE ARE BECOMING LAZY. How many times do I hear folks tell me "Oh I don't vote... I don't give a damn... I don't have time... I don't listen to this sh*t..."
Well folks, we need to give a damn now more then ever because in America the stakes are high this time around.
