Americans are unaware of the extent of China’s infiltration of U.S. medical research, the degree to which U.S. officials and scientists facilitated it, the possibly dangerous transfer of technology, including that related to the likely creation of the COVID-19 virus, and the continuation of such collaborative programs.
Based on the preponderance of evidence, there is now little question that the virus that has caused the worldwide pandemic likely came from a laboratory in China. The question remains whether an accidental leak was a consequence of biological warfare experiments by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The Chinese government collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) to downplay the threat and make the case that the virus appeared to not be transmitted from human to human, but rather from animals (primarily bats) to humans. There is also the question of why China cut off all domestic flights between Wuhan (population, 11 million) and Beijing and Shanghai, but not between Wuhan and Europe and America.
There are also questions about the role of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, in directing U.S. grant funds to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the nature of the experiments that funding supported. With that, I am calling for an investigation of NIAID’s controversial research collaboration with China regarding the origin of the COVID-19 virus. A Senate committee or Justice Department investigation would be a good start. I have written a series of articles on this topic, which you can find here.

Boy dead in own filth in locked room; dad, fiancee charged
A Pennsylvania man and his fiancee imprisoned the man’s 12-year-old son in a darkened room for years, starving him and beating him while treating their other children well, until he was finally found dead in his own filth, authorities said.
Scott Schollenberger Jr., 41, and Kimberly Maurer, 35, of Annville, are each charged with homicide and child endangerment, Pennlive.com reported. Both were held without bail, and it wasn’t known Monday whether either has an attorney to speak for them.
The charges stem from the death of Maxwell Schollenberger, whose body was found May 26. The boy was naked, and his feces-covered body was sprawled across a soiled bed in a room that was also caked with it.
The boy never received medical care, wasn’t enrolled in school and was rarely seen even by his siblings, who lived in the same house with the couple. There were no lights in the boy’s room, and the window shades were closed with duct tape. Metal hooks kept the room locked from the outside.

These methods came under fire after they were used against demonstrators in a series of racial justice protests in Richmond, prompting two City Council members to propose a prohibition. Action on that was deferred so the new police chief could improve training, which he admitted was lacking.
At least one Democrat is calling the version of the bill that recently passed in the House of Delegates “weak” but some parts still go too far for law enforcement.
“We need to be pro-First Amendment, it’s part of our Constitution. We need to be pro-police reform and we also need to be pro-police and I think this bill accomplishes all of that,” said Del. Dan Helmer (D-Fairfax), who introduced the bill dubbed the ‘Best Equipment for Law-Enforcement Act.’

Netflix's 'Cuties' prompts 'churn' as domestic subscribers flee
Netflix investors may be tuning out after the controversial french film 'Cuties' has ignited a #CancelNetflix campaign on social media.
Shares fell on Monday, despite a broad market rally, following a report that the streaming service may be losing subscribers.
YipitData, a global research firm, told FOX Business the churn, or the amount of customers who choose not to renew their subscription, began to substantially increase following the film's release.
As of Saturday, the firm found that Netflix's daily churn reached a multi-year high that was nearly eight times higher than levels observed by the firm in August.
YipitData believes churn could continue to grow in the coming days, as an online petition against the film has gained over 614,000 signatures as of Monday evening.

Pfizer says it should know if COVID-19 vaccine works by end of October
Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer will likely know by the end of next month if its coronavirus vaccine is effective, CEO Albert Bourla said.
There’s a “more than 60 percent” chance that the drugmaker’s clinical research will produce results by the end of October showing whether or not the shot works, Bourla said in a Sunday TV interview.
Pfizer has already started producing the vaccine it’s developing with German biotech firm BioNTech even though there’s no guarantee that its Phase 3 study will be successful, according to Bourla, who said it’s a “likely scenario” that the US Food and Drug Administration will approve the shot by the end of 2020.

“They weren’t sentenced to death,” families fear for loved ones in prison with COVID-19 outbreak
The Coronavirus death toll is rising at a Virginia prison in Southampton putting relatives and inmates on edge.
Over the weekend, two more inmates died from COVID-19 at the Deerfield Correctional Center bringing the death toll there to 6.
Nearly 500 offenders of the 925 inmates have or have had the virus like Aerrie Sammon’s husband Richard Pontani. Pontani, who is doing time for a drug charge, also has CPOD.
“It’s not just my husband. There’s peoples fathers and brothers, uncles, sons, friends and they don’t deserve this,” said Sammon. “Everyone is packed in there.”
Sammon added there is no social distancing happening inside the prison.
“You can’t just stack them in there like cattle,” Sammon said.

What’s the one word about race that we’re not allowed to use?” he poses to the class. “I’ll give you a hint. It starts with ‘N.’”
After he is met with silence from stunned students, Shank says he is only using the word to “demonstrate a point,” before using the slur and then describing some of its common, derogatory uses from “when I was a young man.”

In a statement after the incident, School of Education Dean Gretchen Generett offered her “sincere apologies” to students and thanked those who emailed the professor directly after the class.

TEACHING HATE? High School teacher ‘handed out Black Lives Matter cartoon comparing cops to the Ku Klux Klan’ on first day of classes
A SCHOOL in Westchester, New York, has come under fire for a cartoon that was handed out to students depicting modern-day cops as slave owners and the Ku Klux Klan.
Christopher Moreno, who teaches 11th graders at Westlake High School, handed out a sheet containing a series of cartoons.
The first cartoon is a panel of five depictions of a man kneeling on a black man. The man kneeling over the handcuffed black man is depicting in various outfits, including as a member of the KKK, a slave owner, a sheriff and a police officer.
In the last two sketches, the black man says "I can't breathe" - what George Floyd said when he was knelt on by then-police cop Derek Chauvin.
“My daughter showed me the paper. I said, `What is this?! You’ve got to be kidding me!’ Westlake mom Ania Paternostro told the NY Post.

22-Year-Old Who Had His Arm Partially Blown Off After Pointing a Gun at 17-Year-Old Kyle Rittenhouse’s Head Cries Victim to CNN
Gaige Grosskreutz, the 22-year-old Kenosha rioter who had his arm partially blown off by Kyle Rittenhouse after he aggressively rushed at the 17-year-old and pointed a pistol at the child’s head, cried victim on CNN.
Grosskreutz had a gun in his hand when he ran up to Rittenhouse, so in self defense, the 17-year-old discharged his weapon, blew off part of Grosskreutz’s arm, saving his own life.
Doctors performed surgery and saved Gaige Grosskreutz’s right arm.
A friend of Gaige’s said that his only regret was not being able to kill 17-year-old Rittenhouse.
“So the kid shot gaige as he drew his weapon and gaige retreated with his gun in hand. I just talked to Gaige Grosskreutz too his only regret was not killing the kid and hesitating to pull the gun before emptying the entire mag into him. Coward,” a friend of Grosskreutz wrote in a chat.
Leave it to CNN to make Grosskreutz out to be the victim by calling him the “sole survivor.”

“So the kid shot gaige as he drew his weapon and gaige retreated with his gun in hand. I just talked to Gaige Grosskreutz too his only regret was not killing the kid and hesitating to pull the gun before emptying the entire mag into him. Coward,” a friend of Grosskreutz wrote in a chat.
Leave it to CNN to make Grosskreutz out to be the victim by calling him the “sole survivor.”
